Day 95~ Resist the Devil~ Stay on the Attack

Welcome to day 95 with our devotional reading and reflection as we are finishing up our discussion through Joyce Meyer's book, " 100 ways to Simplify Your Life." We must realize that Satan is real and he has no power in the name of Jesus.

Day 95~ Resist the Devil~

Our scripture reading comes from James 4:7, " So be subject to God. Resist the devil [ stand firm against him], and he will flee from you."

Let's expose the true enemy behind things in our lives, Satan! Satan wants our lives to be miserable and wants chaos! This allows him to steal our joy, peace and keeps us in bondage with negative thinking that we are missing our blessings from God. It is so important to build a strong relationship with God by spending time in the word. The last few weeks I have gone through some serious changes and more is on the way. I few weeks ago I found myself in position as a lead teacher. I knew God had me there for a reason but I wanted to avoid it. But I am grateful that God opened this door for whatever he has in mind for me. I planned on taking the Master's degree program but was fighting the decision because I was focused on the fear of something bad. The schedule for me to leave for work was no issue and the ride there is a straight shot. I'm in class deciding if this was where I needed to be because I wanted something else. Negativity affected my thinking.

Reflection~ Stay on the Attack~

It is time to stay aggressive against the enemy. God is greater than the enemy. He won it on cavalry.
It is time to take a stand from allowing Satan from stealing our peace and joy. Stand firm in His word and site verses out loud. The word of God causes the enemy to flee.

Welcome to day 80 as we are continuing with our devotional reading and reflection.God is amazing and so loving! We don't deserve anything and so often take it for granted. Day 80~ A bit of Grace for Today~ Our scripture reading comes from James 4:6, "But he gives us more grace. That is why Scripture says: “God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble.” Today as I was working,  I realized how undeserving I am of God's blessings in my life.
