Day 75~ God is For Us~ God is Faithful
Welcome to day 75 devotional reading and reflection as we continue with our discussion of Joyce Meyer's book, " 100 Ways to Simplify Your Life." What happens when we loose our focus is that we forget who is in our corner all the time. We are making our way down this mountain to be prepared to start living the way God has intended us to live and to remember He is on our side.
Day 75~ God is For Us~
Our scripture comes for Romans 8:31, " What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us."
We have to admit that everyone we encounter with will not like us nor some of our beliefs. Then we get wrapped up in getting people to like us by trying to please them more than God. Has anybody else fallen into that trap? I have numerous times. We have to realize the ones who loves us and accept us for who we are, are the ones that matter. Walk away from ones that bring you no purpose! Its' ok! When ever you face disappointment or hear things that people have said about you, brush it off and talk with God. Don't allow the information to upset you! I have been battling my weight since I was child and I do not fit into what the doctors think I should be. It is a battle! I know that if I keep doing what God told me to do, I have better results but I also have wisdom to ask for a doctors guidance! I know I have to bring some weight down, but in reality I am going to be bulkier than most women you see. I have to remember that God is on my side!
Reflection~ God is Faithful~
Throughout the bible, God has laid out His promises to us when we face adversary. In 1 Corinthians 1:9, " God is faithful (reliable, trustworthy, and therefore ever true to His promise, and He can be depended on)." Learning that God is for us and to fully understand how mighty he is, we can live a more peaceful life. He promises to never leave us nor forsake us. We aren't useless people because He has Divine purpose and plans for our lives if we only draw near to Him! Learning to stay focus on Jesus provides us an everlasting friend. When we gave our lives to God through the shedding of Jesus' blood, we have the Holy Spirit dwelling with us. The Holy Spirit walks along with us daily for guidance and comfort. So Today remember You are never ALONE!
