Day 59~ Buy some Time~ There is a season and a time~

Welcome to day 59 as we continue with our devotional reading and reflection based off of Joyce Meyer's book, " 100 Ways to Simplify Your Life." Today's devotional is talking about buying some time. Many wonder how can we buy time when we are only given 24 hours a day. We are also have to be mindful that we aren't promised tomorrow either. Ronald Reagan said it best, " Surround yourself with the best people you can find, delegate authority, and don't interfere as long as the policy you've decided upon is being carried out." Let's go deeper with God......

Day 59 ~ Buy Some Time~

Our scripture reading comes from Ecclesiastes 3:1, " To everything there is a season, and a time for every matter or purpose under heaven."

The last few years I have noticed how fast the time flies compared to when I was a child. It seemed like summer vacation lasted forever until school started again. I remember how much I wanted to be an adult and be on my own. I got my wish at 21 for 6 years. It was called adulting 101. It was learning that I have to clean up after myself, pay my own bills on time, maintain my own vehicle, get to work on time, and go grocery shopping. I had a budget system down pack. I worked from sun up to basically sun down. I had to remove snow from drive way and vehicle. I had to prepare for winter. Now, things get a little crazy if you have to take care of other people in your family. Many feel that chores should be divided equally among every member of the household. I do agree putting in your free share. Problem is sometimes you get stuck doing everything! I loved being a manager where I could delegate responsibilities to other workers. It made the day easier but if you have to go back through it again, you are wasting your time. I was a janitor by trade because I grew up with my father has my first boss in his cleaning company, we were trained from the first time to do the job effectively and if he had to come back through to redo, we had to do it all over again. WASTED TIME. This is my mentality of training individuals to do their best work each time so that we don't have to go back through again.

Reflection~ There is a season and a time~

God has given us limited time here on earth to fulfill his purpose not only for our lives but to build up the kingdom of God. It is so important to be sharing the love of God with everyone we come in contact with. Is it easy? No !! You can pray to God daily to allow you opportunities to share the love of God with others. There are other ways like just talking about how God as changed your life through recent storms. Share your story of why God is important to you! This is our temporary home and we have an eternal destination with God. Don't you want those that are close to you to have that same advantage? We need to tell people about Jesus and how he died for our sins. Explain that His blood that was shed covered our sins with love. Now, remember to live it like you are saved. Also remember wasted time is gone forever. Start today to find ways to do things more effectively through daily life and sharing the gospel to the unsaved.
