Day 55~ You've Got Mail Mentality~ Move Forward
Welcome to day 55 as we continue to travel through our discussion on Joyce Meyer's book, " 100 Ways to Simplify Your Life." We are slowly turning the peak of this mountain. There is so much on this journey to learn but these are so important. Remember when everyone started getting emails and how fast we ran when these words came across......." You've Got Mail......."
Day 55~ You've Got Mail Mentality~
Our scripture reading comes from Proverbs 4:15," Avoid it, do not travel on it; turn from it and go on your way."
I remember when my cousin gave me their old computer when I lived in New York. I had it all set up to do the dial up Internet. I was tickled pink when these words came across, " You've got mail," and would run to check my emails only to discover it was JUNK MAIL! Today it is even worse with technology we have smart phones, laptops, tablets, and smart notebooks. We can check everything at our finger tips. I have my phone connected to three different email addresses but only use one. I use my phone mostly for emails rather than my computer. We have so much going on that we do not even know what we have read. This is our minds as well. We accept everything into our minds because we have become complacent with these words, " You've Got Mail." The more junk we accumulate the more pulled down we are. Many of us do not align everything to God's word and accept it to be alright. I have realized myself can easily be caught up in to it as well. We have Facebook overload. Our phones in our hands 24 hours that we do not communicate with the people in our house. We have to place an opinion on everything and complain about the drama in our lives. We let so many things rule our hearts and minds that we cannot hear God anymore. I have many people say they have no purpose in life. They have no friends. Many count on these things as main communication with the outside world. Then you wonder why we cannot act right in public. Sometimes we have to take the high road rather we agree or not because God really is trying to keep you from making that same mistake over and over again. People like drama and as long as you continue accepting their drama, it will never change.
