Day 60 ~ Organize~ spiritual check up~
Welcome to day 60 with our daily devotional reading and reflection based on our discussion based on Joyce Meyer's book, " 100 Ways to Simplify Your Life." Today is a beautiful day. Like many of you, we have so much that needs to be done but have no clue where to begin.
~ Day 60 ~ Organize~
Our scripture reading comes from Proverbs 31:27, " She looks well to how things go in her household, and the bread of idleness ( gossip, discontent, and self-pity) she will not eat."
Learning how to be more organized can make your life less complicated. I have moments when I throw everything into a corner and wait a few days to take care of it. During that process, other things pile up and then I feel overwhelmed. It is difficult for many people who suffer from certain illnesses or diseases that limits their ability to maintain. If I decide not to go to the gym one day, I end up missing a whole week. Then my goal of maintaining my weight gets off track and then I start feeling out of control. I have so much stuff to do for one person that getting up in the morning is a chore itself. I know there ways to keep things organized and some things I have found to be beneficial for me within the last few years.
1). I set my alarm to get up around the same time every day
2) Start my day with God
3) Accomplish simple daily tasks
4) Plan out the day
5) Go to bed on time every night
Always keep a calendar, agenda, or memo pad handy to write things down.

Reflection~ Spiritual Life Check up~
It is also important to keep our spiritual lives organized as well. Our daily prayer life should be the first thing that we should want to do every day. Once we spend that time with God, we can organize by removing negative thoughts, gossiping or self-pity from our lives. I am currently going through 2 different circumstances, I have to sit quietly with God to hear how he is leading me into the next step in handling what needs to be done. It is important! I have been trying to learn how to make my prayer life to be more effective by being organized. I have read through several journals and asked myself, " what were you talking about?" Laughing! God loves us so much and he hears our prayers rather I speak in ADHD format! He loves you too! What is important is that communication with him daily to make sure you are heading in the right path!
